Islamic Community Center of Potomac

The Islamic Community Center of Potomac (ICCP) started 10 years ago as a mosque in Potomac, Maryland, and has gradually expanded. First, with a prayer hall and slowly into a community center that provides an inclusive space for diverse and compassionate people to feel welcome, regardless of their background.

The community center also has a Green Team whose mission aligns with the religious duty to be stewards of the planet we inhabit this promise by making sure the building and practices are environmentally conscious by planting native plants on their grounds, using less plastic, offering compostable ware, and educating the community and its children about their role to protect the environment in hopes that these practices carry into their households.
